Great little device; cheap and does it's job

wotches man Transcend Flash Memory Reader TS RDP5K

Transcend Flash Memory Reader TS RDP5K

Woo hoo! Someone finally came up with the idea to eliminate those pesky cords for card readers! Transcend's 9-in-1 USB Memory Card Reader steps it up a notch with the ability to read every memory card I own, including the micro ones for our cell phones. I've owned it for a year and it's still working great. I use it for transferring music and pictures to and from our cell phones and pictures and video from our camera; it reads them in a flash (pun intended), transferring fairly quickly. It was very inexpensive, much less than all the other card readers, so I was slightly worried that the quality would be inferior. Not so. Everything's better than expected. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that I don't have a cord and that it's small enough not to get in the way but large enough that I won't lose it (even in a home with 6 kids with hands that tend to find all the cool devices attached to our computers). My only (minor) gripe is that it has a cap that could easily get lost if you use it more frequently than I do (once a month). However, I still give this 5 enthusiastic thumbs up and would definitely recommend it to others.

Your Near-Perfect Walk-Around Lens

poofy review Nikon 18 200mm 3 5 5 6G Telephoto DX Format

Nikon 18 200mm 3 5 5 6G Telephoto DX Format

I would consider myself an advanced amateur in photography. I have been shooting pics since 1976, using a variety of cameras. I started with the Nikon F2A, and I have progressed to the D300. A diverse group of Nikon lens have accumulated also. My last purchase was a Nikon 28-200 in the 300 dollar range.
The 28 was just not enough for wide angle shooting. Thus began the search for more. I had read the reviews for the 18-200 VR, and it seemed to be the answer. Except for one thing: the price.
But, I gave in and made the purchase. Smart move. This one lens replaces almost all my existing inventory(save the 70-300). I have shot a couple hundres pics, and any doubts are now gone.
Yes, the price is pretty steep for the average Joe, and there is that much talked about lens creep in the middle range(around 135). But I don't shoot a lot of pics straight up or down. Probably most others don't either.
The build quality is high. The lens tube is plastic, but appears to be of a very high quality(it is hard to tell it is not metal). And for a first time user, the VR is amazing. Seems almost like magic.
The most impressive quality to me is the clarity and color rendition. This lens is better than any previous Nikon product I have owned, hands down. Some of the reviews have questioned the sharpness. No problem here. Again, it outperforms all my other lens. Unless you are incredibly demanding, I think you will find this to be the lens to leave on the camera almost 100 per cent of the time. I have.
I would heartily recommend this product. The price is higher than average, but it will replace 2 or problably 3 of your current lens. No toting a box or bag to carry all of them. And the weight is not an issue for me. For what you get in one lens, it is well worth a few extra ounces on the camera. Buy this and move on. I don't think anyone will regret it. I didn't.

Excellent Photo Quality... but no HD Video

cheap silver heels Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera Black

Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera Black

It has awesome quality pictures and it's sleek and stylish! Plus on Amazon.com the price is very good compared to the actual Kodak website! Ships super fast to. It is very easy to use and with 12.2 MP to just go wild with, you can take some really killer pictures with it! The only thing I find wierd is that it doesn't come with a memory card... You have to buy one separately like I did (I just found it out when I got the camera about a week ago) :( The camera has an internal memory card built in, but it doesn't really hold a lot... (Only 10 pictures and 29 seconds of video.) Pretty much just a sample of what it can do. If you want to buy this camera, (and I recommend you do because it's Kodak) then do remember to buy a memory card while you buy the camera because then you don't have to make the mistake that I did and wait for another week or 2 to get it, Just warning you :)

PS. This is what memory card i'm buying for my camera:

They also come in 4, 16 and 32GB to I think...

Anyway, hope this helps!

Spare Sony Camcorder Batteries and Charger

handbags Handycam Camcorder Includes Batteries Protectors

Handycam Camcorder Includes Batteries Protectors

We recently purchased a Sony HDR-CX210 camcorder. It's a great camcorder (great picture, light weight, easy transfer via SD card), but I was disappointed that the battery that came with it would only record for about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

So, I started looking at other Sony batteries, and batteries with enough capacity to fill the memory would have rivaled the cost of the camcorder itself. I was very pleased to find this kit which included two NP-FV70 (equivalent) batteries and a compact charger (including a DC adapter for car use) for considerably less (~US$40) than a single Sony brand NP-FV70 (~US$100).

The batteries are not Sony brand, but they are compatible with the Sony Handycam camcorders. The two new batteries each give us more than four hours of recording time which should be plenty of time for school programs, weddings, and the like. With the camcorder itself, the charger allows us to charge two batteries in parallel which will allow us a full day of shooting on our next vacation with only a couple of hours of recharging at night.

Wonderful Belly Dancing and Work Out Combo video!

Nail Polish Review Dance Off Inches Belly

Dance Off Inches Belly

I am 50 years old and have walked 4 miles every day for years and I needed to incorporate another workout regiment that somewhat challenged me from my stomach up including my arms and I have to say, I love this video by Keli M. It is the perfect workout video with belly dancing moves mixed in, creating a nice not overly done cardio plus learning some sensual dance moves that you will pick up with each time you do it(takes about 5 to 6 times but eventually you perfect them all). I keep looking for more of her workouts but haven't been able to find any so if anyone knows where to get more of Keli M's workout vids, please let me know. This video does create a sweat and is so much fun working out with the girls (that's what I call them lol). I am a normal averagely built woman and it has helped me tone up my midsection and arms and even helped my legs when I do it on a regular basis which is about 4 times a week. Please don't listen to those others who have negative comments, (they are probably the owners of the other vids on here lol and they are jealous! LOL ) Girls this one is so good,it is sold through out the United States at Walmarts and other big stores where as the others are not~~~Buy and keep at it until you get the moves down.

trailer Canon 50mm Standard AutoFocus Lens

Canon 50mm Standard AutoFocus Lens

yes this is a cheap lens. Yes, its a plastic fantastic. but that's exactly what i'm looking for.

I'm the type of photographer who will do anything and risk it all to get the shot I originally planned for. However, i'm not the type of photographer who makes a gazillion dollars a year and can afford to risk $5000 worth of equipment to get the shot. This lens is perfect solution for me because its only a few bucks and I don't feel I have to hold back when around water, extreme heights, bad weather, sand, etc... you name it. I have no problem mounting this lens to a T2i on the side of a motorcycle to shoot HD video or take it skydiving. I can get just as great shots in bad environments as that NatGeo wannabe with $9000 around his neck who hesitates to take a picture because his equipment is too expensive to risk.

My philosophy is to use cheap primes in places you wouldn't want to take expensive and heavy glass. At least you won't feel that bad if you drop it in mud. If it breaks like so many claim, i'll buy another one and get another 50,000 shots out of it. Even then, its still a cheaper path then going for the f/1.4. Besides, the 1.4 is due for an update, I would expect a mk2 version soon.

I love this lens. its a great 50mm on my 5D mk2 and a great 80mm on my 7D.

Great Bag!

gps review Olympus Fujifilm Digital Photography Accessories

Olympus Fujifilm Digital Photography Accessories

When I first opened the box, I was afraid this bag wouldn't be big enough for me, but it's designed so well that I can fit almost all of my gear inside! In the main compartment, I have my Nikon D5100 with 70-300mm VR attached (it's not hard at all to fit the camera in there with its strap on, too). I also fit my 35mm prime, 18-55mm VR kit lens, SB-400 flash, flash diffuser (not on the flash), hard case that holds 3 52mm filters, battery charger, cleaning pen, remote control, and believe it or not, there's still some extra room left that would definitely fit all my cables. Somehow it looks and feels less bulky than my old Nikon bag that didn't fit half the stuff just because the interior wasn't designed well. The construction seems very sturdy, but it still feels very lightweight considering how much stuff is inside (and the 70-300 VR lens is not light)! I love this bag!

Also, since I'm only 5'3", I was a little nervous when another reviewer mentioned the bag overwhelmed her small frame, but I don't feel like it seems too big for me. Sure, I'd love a really tiny bag, but if you want your SLR with at least a little gear, that's not going to happen.
