I researched a lot into waterproof/dustproof cases. I owned a Lifeproof and the sound quality was horrible. The otterbox is just too big and bulky and hurts my ear. Speaker sound is very minimally affected so I can actually listen to music with my phone. I work in a loud production environment and I am able to hear people on the other end of the call as well, which is a big improvement from the Lifeproof. I have also dropped it many times and it has protected my phone very well. It is extremely thin, almost the same profile as a non waterproof case. Also the screen sensitivity is pretty good, only maybe really close to the side wall is there a little interference. Every once in a while I get a rainbow effect in a very sunny spot. I also have problems with plugging in portable speakers, there isn't room for the plugin, however, regular headphones are fine. However, overall I am extremely happy with this case.

Exactly how i thought it would be
It turned out to be an exellent cover
    Water proof ok
    Bump protection ok
Plastic cover over the screen is great

  2. Up until 2 weeks ago I had my iPhone 5 in the Otterbox Defender - nothing wrong with it except I found it too bulky and detracted from the beautiful iPhone form. I read that the Armor case is even more bulky and I don't like the reviews from the Lifeproof case. The OBEX is just about a perfect mix between protection and form. Much less bulky than the defender and much more protection (its water-, dust-, and impact-proof). Highly recommended!

  3. This is the best "everything proof" phone to date, hands down. When I had the iPhone 4, I used a Lifeproof case. I would lose the audio screws recurrently and most iPhone products couldn't be used with the case unless you purchased some type of adapter or extension cable. I just thought it was a pain, but it was the best at the time. I purchased the iPhone 5 Lifeproof case when it first came out and gave it a chance. I had problems with the rubber padding staying in place over the charging port, which was to be clamped shut to make it waterproof. I could not get it to stay on, the screen began to bubble, typing became increasingly difficult, and so I began to research. In the meanwhile I used the Otterbox Commuter case, which I will say I love. I saw Seidio was coming out with the iPhone case everything proof case and signed up for the e-mail wait list. I bought one as soon as it became available. The screen is extremely responsive to the touch. Everything on the phone clamps down nice and tight. The phone is extremely sleek looking still while in this case. I also love the fact that there are no screws. When I run at the gym, my headphone will fit without any adapters, etc. It's fully waterproof and the chargeport rubber stop is clamped down by a plastic piece. The only complaints I have are that it can fall off quite frequently if the case isn't secured all the way or if you're ever trying to take it apart. I wish it had been glued or made stationary, it seems like it can be easy to lose and hard to replace. The call quality is slightly diminished. It's very hard to hear your phone ring for some reason, but once the person picks up, it seems as thought it becomes louder. All in all it's a sleek phone and worth the money. It is the best protection for the least amount of bulk you can buy at the moment.

  4. I have a bit of a problem when it comes to gadget accessories. I had a lifeproof case for my iPhone 4S and liked it. The screen bothered me with the air gap, but I got over it. I then purchased an iphone 5 with the new lifeproof case. The new lifeproof was returned after a few days. The screen annoyed me and the vibrations from the speaker were unbearable. I then purchased a Ringke slim that I highly recommend if you want a very slim case but it doesn't protect much. I was thinking everything was fine with this slim case until my buddy took a plunge with his iphone on a fishing trip. I then started searching for a waterproof case. I purchased the new otterbox armor series case. If you work on a mining crew then this is your case. The otterbox armor is HUGE. It is half of a brick. Talk about putting a sweatshirt on a supermodel! You guessed it, that case went back. I recently received my OBEX. This is the case I have been looking for. You can hardly tell anything is covering the screen. Typing on it is just like typing on a naked iphone. I think that the case itself feels smaller than a lifeproof. It sealed up perfectly with no problems. The security is the same as the lifeproof but the functionality is ten folds better. The power and home button actually click and I don't get the annoying accidental press of the home button while wearing tight jeans or something. The vibrate button could have been better but when I had a lifeproof the phone was always accidentally going into vibrate mode when rubbed against something. I have yet to find anything about the OBEX that I don't like. It is also cheaper than the lifeproof. I will certainly update this post if anything changes.

  6. This case lives up to its name. I've dropped it in water, crawled in the mud, and dropped it on concrete. My phone has not cracked and the case is still looking strong. The sound is a little lower in volume, but it's a small price to pay for the amazing protection. The case also does not add a lot of bulk, so the phone maintains sleekness, and slides in and out of your pocket with out a problem.

I highly recommend this case, I have spent over 300 dollars on cellphone cases for my iPhones. This is by far the best one.

  7. I took a chance and bought this case. I just got it yesterday followed all the directions and found that this case actually works. I have water tested with and with out my phone in it and it worked fine. I would recommend this over the life proof.

All the problems other people were talking about I had none of them. I did notice though that you have to double check the o ring does not get trapped in the side slightly if it does I notice the case leaves a small gap but is still water proof. This is why some cases were not closing all the way and everything you had on your phone must be removed or it won't fit in the case even the worlds thinnest screen protector must come off.
